Studio Dirt with NANNA WOO

Introducing our new Two-Part Hand Building: Guardian Vase Workshop with the talented Hanna Woolley of NANNA WOO. Guardian Vases are owl-inspired vessels to hold your favourite fresh or dried botanicals, feathers and driftwood. Join us for a creative two session experience where you'll design and hand build your own ceramic Guardian Vase, then return to decorate it before its final firing.

Session 1 – Friday, 14 August 1pm-3:30pm (2.5 hr)

Learn the fundamentals of hand building as you bring your ideas to life in clay. We'll explore ideas and designs, hand building techniques, nature imprints, carving and surface texturing to create your own unique Guardian Vase.

Session 2 – Friday, 11 September 1pm-2pm (1 hr)

Return to decorate your creation using underglazes and finishing techniques before it heads off for its final firing. Whether you're completely new to clay or looking to build on your hand-building skills, this workshop will guide you through the entire creative process, from raw clay to a forever finished ceramic vessel.

This is a two part workshop. By booking Session 1, you will automatically be enrolled in Session 2.
